Our founder Kannan Iyer arrived in Australia in 2008 as a skilled migrant. Despite an MBA and a decade of senior leadership experience, he still had to fight for his first break in this market. He knows what it feels like to be overqualified, overlooked, and underestimated.
He then spent 15 years in talent acquisition across Randstad, the NSW Government, Service NSW, and MTC Australia - reading resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions. He understands exactly why strong candidates get overlooked, and exactly what it takes to change that.
That combination - lived migrant experience and professional insider knowledge - is what makes Settle Down Under unlike anything else available to skilled migrants in Australia.
